What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks Assistant VP, Full Stack Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

1. Build and configure the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Public Cloud environment to build and deliver the application.
2. Develop the framework required for migrating applications from Hadoop to AWS cloud-based technology including continuous integration and deployment.
3. Responsible for defining and changing existing application components to interpret and meet additional business requirements through whiteboard solution architecture, while collaborating with business users and globally dispersed development teams to clarify requirements and provide status updates.
4. Manage projects through the project life cycle, build requirements for implementation and resolve issues on path back to BAU operations.
5. Develop complicated Ab Initio ETL processes to turn business requirements into technology data solutions.
6. Design and implement Data integration and Data Warehouse based solutions using Hadoop platform.
7. Support data analysis by optimizing complex SQL queries and provide technically sound solutions for the ingestion, storage and presentation of enterprise data including ETL design, data storage strategies, data access and security.
8. Develop, design, code and perform unit testing of complex software components for new or enhanced IT systems to a high level of quality, producing appropriate documentation while
performing cost benefit analysis by driving the design of scalable solutions while considering all recoverable and resiliency requirements.
9. Employ agile techniques such as task estimation, test automation, deployment automation to enhance overall execution speed and product quality.
10.  Provide implementation and integration tasks for medium to large, complex in-house developed systems while providing.
11.  Provide technical support to business analyst/project managers and coaching to less experienced staff across a geographically dispersed team.
12. May telecommute.

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
