What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks Delivery Lead & Tech Product Owner in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Collaborating with business stakeholders, Technical and Pillar Leads, and other Developers to support the release of software components within the project scope, ensuring quality and timeliness of the delivery for the Barclays Performance Engineering team. Perform Requirement Analysis with stakeholders and Prepare workflow charts and diagram to specify in detail operations to be performed by the team. Work closely on building requirements and providing requirement to the Performance Engineering team.
  • Organizing and scheduling team meetings to reduce uncertainty by communicating with stakeholders, including business managers, and the development team to make sure that the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business objectives.
  • Working with the Scrum Master and the Development teams, Creating the product roadmap, which outlines the vision, priorities, and directions. Working on Performance Engineering Testing effort estimation for the project using MS Project and MS Visio tools.
  • Leading/coaching the Agile team with respect to all Agile things, i.e., being self-organized and cross-functional. Implement and conduct Agile scrum methodologies, daily scrums, standups, sprint review, sprint planning meetings to project progress. Removing impediments for the team’s progress to its sprint commitments and being available for the scrum events throughout the Sprint.
  • Managing Product Backlog items and prioritizing the backlog to maximize business values. Monitoring upcoming deliverables and ensuring completion of project milestones and delivery of technology projects on-time, within budget and with quality.
  • Work on multiple projects or a single project with a high level of complexity such as cross-department stakeholders, cross-division division stakeholders, or more than one geographic location. Work with Engineering team and act as liaison between Engineering teams & Business team to help identify dependencies and eliminate impediments.
  • Enacting change & continuous improvement to increase the productivity of the team and quality of deliverables. Ensuring project dependencies and assumptions are factored into the planning process.
  • Managing the aggregate project/work stream budget, monitoring the expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the Projects progress.
  • Providing status and updates on programs as requested with executive management, partners, and internal project teams. Ensuring that Key Measures of Success and Benefits are quantifiable and measurable post implementation.
  • EST Jira, Confluence, MS Project and MS Visio for creating flow charts, processes for managing and planning the project deliverables.
  • Coding in Java using JMeter for Performance Testing and support writing shell scripts for JVM heap analysis and network packet capture analysis.
  • May telecommute.

Purpose of the role

To manage the efficient delivery of large-scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget and quality requirements. 

Accountabilities

  • Management of the delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and the execution of sprints.
  • Collaboration with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support the proposal of technically feasible solutions, and effort and timeline expectations.
  • Collaboration with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products and features through the software project lifecycle aligned to the banks objectives, regulation and security policies.
  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges.
  • Management of change requests and communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Management of vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure they deliver according to agreed terms.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improving deliver outcomes and to foster a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth.
