To be successful as an Instrument Data Quality Lead, you should have experience with:

  • Working with a wide range of financial asset classes and institutions (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives)

  • Platform data modelling, including logical and physical data models

  • Gathering and documenting business or operational requirements, including identifying gaps in current capabilities

  • Understanding of data stewardship, data quality, and data lineage

  • Creating user stories and acceptance criteria, and executing user acceptance testing

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Clear communication skills to engage with key stakeholders and team members

  • SQL proficiency to query and extract insights from large datasets

  • Ability to work with large volumes of data to identify issues and recommend tactical and strategic solutions

  • Experience with metadata and domain maintenance

  • Familiarity with JIRA for workflow tracking

This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.

Minimum Salary: $110,000

Maximum Salary: $155,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources. 

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.
