You will be accountable for delivering technology solutions for an integrated desktop, providing digital and systematic workflows, and data & analytics across the end-to-end sales journey. With a considerable emphasis on both technical and communication skills, you will be expected to deliver robust design and technical solutions in a controlled, transparent, and risk-managed fashion. You will be working with a global team to implement coding standards and best practices for software development and ensure compliance with processes, including but not limited to unit testing and continuous integration.
To be successful as a Senior Software Engineer/Architect, you should have:
A considerable technical background with design and delivery experience with software patterns and values
Experience as a functional architect (business/product) with validated ability to produce, convey, and drive a strategic vision
Experience in Java development, extensive knowledge of and experience with Java (17 or higher)
Experience with container technologies, including microservices, messaging protocols like Kafka, and caching technologies such as Apache Ignite
Extensive experience in DevOps using tools like GitLab and others
Other highly valued skills include:
Financial industry experience, knowledge of Fixed Income products (prior experience with Structuring/Pre-Trade/Post-Trade capture, workflow, processing, and associated life-cycling will be plus)
Proficiency in requirements assessment and software design; Experience investigating production incidents with priority to restore services ASAP
Basic knowledge of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design guidelines to collaborate effectively with UI team
Experience in software applications and technical processes, including cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and BPM, with knowledge of microservices orchestration and BPMN tools like Camunda
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is in Whippany, NJ office.
Minimum Salary: $170,000
Maximum Salary: $230,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
