Explore locationJoin Barclays as a Senior Java Developer on our global team. In this role, you will develop and enhance modules within Java-based applications. You will also utilize Python to support various project requirements. You will participate in team meetings across time zones and work both resourcefully and in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills are essential, as this role includes regular interaction with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery. You will demonstrate sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities and will effectively collaborate with both business and technology teams to address highly detailed projects.
To be successful as a Senior Java Developer, you should have:
Experience with writing multithreaded server applications using Java
Ability with Micro services, RESTFul, Camel, Spring Framework
Experience with python programming and shell scripting
Excellent SQL and RDBMS knowledge such as SQL Server
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience of working in an ops tech, regulatory reporting, or trade capture environment
Ability to implement tables, views, stored procedures, and write optimized SQL statements
Ability to use messaging platforms such as Solace, Kafka, Spring Integration, and Python
Knowledge in machine learning programming, agentic AI, and AWS

This role is located in Whippany, NJ.
Minimum Salary: $120,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
