Explore locationEmbark on a transformative journey as a Senior Frontend Engineer (UI/UX). At Barclays, our vision is clear – to redefine the future of banking and help craft innovative solutions. In Asset Servicing, we’re building next-generation tools for Global Markets, and you’ll play a key part in shaping the user experience. You’ll work closely with Operations and Product teams to design and build intuitive interfaces for a new, greenfield platform built on modern tech and best practices.
To be successful as a Senior Frontend Engineer (UI/UX), you should have experience with:
Designing, building, testing, and implementing responsive UIs using React, React Testing Library, React Query, TypeScript, JavaScript, Redux, Angular, HTML, CSS, Styled Components, and ES6
Using Figma or similar tools to inspect design specs, collaborate with designers, and ensure accurate UI implementation
Applying UI/UX principles to deliver smooth, intuitive user experiences with good attention to detail
Writing clean, efficient, maintainable code using object-oriented design principles
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Working with build tools and CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab
Exposure to Java, databases, or AI-driven technologies
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Understanding containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.
Minimum Salary: $120,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
