In this role, you will design and deliver modern, high-performing applications that help front-office teams simplify complex workflows, improve productivity, and unlock smarter digital experiences. You will join a greenfield transformation where modern React engineering, scalable UI architecture, and AI-enabled capabilities are shaping the future of investment banking technology. You will work on visible, business-critical technology with meaningful ownership, modern engineering practices, and close partnership with product, design, and front-office stakeholders. To be successful as a Senior React Engineer - AVP, you should:
Demonstrate deep proficiency in React and TypeScript, including hooks, custom hooks, performance optimization, error boundaries, Suspense, and modern component-based architecture
Work confidently with modern front-end tooling and styling, including Vite, Rollup, npm or pnpm, modern CSS, CSS-in-JS, responsive design, and utility-first frameworks such as Tailwind CSS
Apply practical experience with Redux Toolkit, state management, reusable design patterns, API integration, and scalable enterprise front-end applications
Use software engineering fundamentals to turn complex requirements into clean, scalable, well-tested front-end solutions
Bring a quality mindset, with practical experience in Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, maintainable test coverage, and clean engineering standards
Other highly valued skills include:
Exposure to financial services, especially Markets, front-office workflows, sales technology platforms, or Fixed Income products and processes
Understanding of full-stack delivery, including backend services, API contracts, integration patterns, software delivery practices, and end-to-end solution thinking
Knowledge of DevOps and modern delivery practices, including GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, release management, resiliency, and operational support
UX/UI experience, including user-centered design, accessibility standards, design systems, reusable component libraries, and Figma design tokens; exposure to OpenFin or similar desktop container technologies is a plus
Exposure to AI-assisted engineering, prompt-based development, and productivity tools that improve delivery quality, code maintainability, and team efficiency
You may be assessed on the critical skills needed for success in this role, including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in our Whippany, New Jersey office.
Minimum Salary: $120,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
