Software Developer

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Software Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

1. Perform software development for projects individually with codes, build, deployment and migration to the latest Angular version.

2. Create reusable components, test in different environments, integrate to all projects, and help others integrate.

3. Provide quick and reliable solutions based on front-end experience.

4. Standardize coding flow and track bugs within time frame to reduce risk and keep aligned with Agile development.

5. Perform enhancements on applications using Angular, HTML5, CSS3 and Angular material.

6. Estimate level of effort required to develop code that meets acceptance criteria.

7. Support the internal infrastructure and will analyze, create, test, and maintain front end.

8. Liaise with IT teams, business users and development groups to conduct requirements gathering and analysis of user requirements and problems.

9. Submit recommendations for IT solutions, write program specifications and migration pathways.

10. Design coding logic flowcharts and encode, test, debug and install operation programs and procedures.

11. May telecommute.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
