Sr. Developer

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp.  seeks Sr. Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available): 

1.    Responsible for the successful delivery of horizontal cross team infrastructure modernization initiatives, from scope prioritization, planning, co-ordination and agreed quality and governance standards.
2.    Involved in multiple technology estate transformation initiatives simultaneously as well as the audit and controls initiatives for the group throughout the full delivery lifecycle, including designing applications/systems.
3.    Work with multiple teams including technology, project management and Technology Estate transformation (TET) to analyze user needs and software requirements to plan, drive and implement software development project goals.
4.    Apply software expertise to integrate the technology estate transformation initiatives into team’s project plan while being hands-on involved in the day-to-day development/ remediation activities.
5.    Coordinate effectively across global teams and team leads in a matrix relationship, bring virtual teams together across organization, and conduct sprints and leading execution of delivery to plan.
6.    Act as the POC for the global team on various controls and technology estate transformation initiatives,
7.    Work in a team environment and coordinating scoping discussions among multiple technical and deployment groups.
8.    May telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $179,982 per year
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $197,981 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
