To be successful as a “Java Developer", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x (Spring MVC, Spring   Security).

•  Designing and implementing RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.

• Solid understanding of Design Principles (OOP, SOLID, clean architecture.

• Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins) and DevOps practices

• Expertise in unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito).

• Hands-on experience with performance tuning and optimization.

• Strong experience with relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server) and SQL queries.

• Awareness and practical adoption of AI-aware engineering practices (using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, and productivity improvement).

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.

• Familiarity with observability tools (Elastic, Kibana, logging & monitoring) experience  with AWS/cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and streaming (Kafka/MQs).

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and financial/regulated domains.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working in financial services or regulated environments.

• Knowledge of UI technologies will be an added advantage.

This role will be based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
