Hybrid Working 

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.

Introduction:

The Role will be responsible for Analysis of the Requirements and Solutions, Process design and mapping, Stakeholder interactions for Technology Projects. 

What will you be doing?

•    Responsible for working with application owners to define business requirements and feeding this into the required teams.
•    Work independently to elicit, validate and document system requirements in BOs, Feature, User story.
•    Defining and validating Acceptance criteria for identified requirements
•    Provide support to the Lead Business Analyst, helping to define analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the Programme and the preferred methodology of the Organisation.
•    Face off to one or many business areas/SME's understanding high level requirements and challenging where necessary.
•    Participation in the Design process coordinated by the Programme Management team– help to ensure the functionality/benefits envisaged are delivered.
•    Support the Testing Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested.
•    Where applicable, during testing own the resolution of defects pertaining to requirement working with test teams and SMEs.
•    Where applicable work with functional or business areas and SMEs to plan migrations of users and or transactions.
•    Participate in helping to perform system training for new users, or when new functionality is released.
•    Where applicable work with the operational users to define business readiness plan and Operational Design
•    Ability to define requirements for Operational Controls and Efficiencies.
•    Define and drive the Live Confirmation Testing during implementation and post Go-Live. 

.What we’re looking for:

•    Experience working as a hands-on BA on large and complex workflow projects.
•    Detailed understanding of Liquidity Product offerings e.g. Cash Concentration, Notional Pooling, Deposits, Intercompany lending etc.
•    Detailed understanding of accounting, settlement, statement and payment processing.
•    Experience in Liquidity Management/ Cash Management domain and Hands on experience in at least one Liquidity Management or Core Banking Product suite (Tieto CBS/Oracle/Finastra etc.)
•    Maintaining excellent relationships and communication with global stakeholders, other IT teams, and business areas, vendors and SI partners.
•    Good Interpersonal Skills, excellent Team Player, adaptability and problem solving are must have traits of this role.
•    Ability to clarify requirements with stakeholders to resolve gaps, uncertainties, and conflicts
•    Strong experience in Agile with experience working in Agile Scrum methodology. 

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Graduate in Science or Engineering. MBA degree will be an added advantage.
•    Banking Domain exposure
•    Has comprehensive understanding of full Technology development lifecycle and is actively involved in all phases
•    Excellent design concepts
•    Knowledge of technologies (including infrastructure technologies) that are used by Financial Service providers.
•    Experience in Mainframe development will be a huge plus.
