Hybrid Working

Structured hybrid role:    
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.  We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Introduction:

Our global, cross functional team works closely with Prime Derivatives business, Product Development, and Operations partners to drive and execute on transformational initiatives that help realize aggressive client growth targets.  

As an Engineer on our team, your focus will be on enhancing stability, scalability, efficiency and flexibility of our foundational platform, while building out new features, integrations and process automation in partnership with our business counterparts.

What will you be doing?

•  This role requires both hands-on development, plus some overall development planning responsibilities i.e. Effort estimation by providing timelines with no. of resources required.
•    Decision making capability with respect to development scope, timelines, quality and risk and communicate all decisions to the PM and escalate issues to Management in a timely manner. 
•    Identifying development scope from project documentation, liaise with business analyst and lead in order to understand the scope of development.
•    Work closely with business analysts to ensure appropriate coverage and discover any loop holes
•    Ensure functionality is developed against requirements, validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process. 
•    Align activities to strategic goals of programme and the firm such as Agile, DevOps, Lean, etc
•    Work closely with Run the Bank and Operations team and assist them with resolving queries from business and external or internal auditors.
•    Communicate effectively and with clarity with the teams across different locations and cultural backgrounds.


What we’re looking for:

•    Good understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing and visibility, data architecture
•    Good knowledge on Salesforce automation tools
•    Better coding knowledge using Apex, LWC frameworks
•    Good understanding of Salesforce governor limits and possible workarounds
•    Good exposure to integration patterns and tools
•    6 to 8 years of SF and APex experience

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Content to be in priority order Good understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing and visibility, data architecture
