What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Equity Derivatives Sr Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

1. Prepare detailed technical design and solution for problems in the equity derivatives exotics (structured products) area of trade booking and lifecycle domain.

2. Work with Development Managers globally to understand and contribute to the system architecture and ensure that the development is in line with the strategy and the overall roadmap.

3. Coordinate with Equity Funds & Strategies (EFS) Pillar 1 Trading and Trade Capture Utility (TCU) teams in New York to understand the complex problems related to the trade capture,

lifecycle management and exotic aspects of equity derivatives and the analytical skills required to translate the business problems into technical solutions.

4. Involved in day-to-day decisions with respect to code, design and test coverage.

5. Propose alternative solutions for various problems and be able to come up with the pros and cons of the solution.

6. Serve as key technical contact person for Run-the-Bank (RTB) in New York for escalations related to the availability or degradation of Atlas Trade service in production.

7. Provide full support to run the Bank for issue investigation & timely resolution.

8. Work with global team to Implement standards & best practices for software development and ensure compliance to the process including but not limited to unit testing and continuous

integration.

9. Utilize existing Investment banking and finance domain practices to validate the accuracy of the technical solution and adherence to requirements.

10. May telecommute.

Minimum Salary: $179,982 per year 

Maximum Salary: $197,981 per year 

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
