Explore locationBarclays is seeking a Software Engineer AVP to serve as a Technical Lead within the Financial and Regulatory Reporting team in Investment Banking Finance. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering multiple projects in an Agile environment. You will work closely with the Architect Owner and Agile Team Lead to identify strategies for implementation. In this role you will identify dependencies, changes in infrastructure and suggest improvements. You'll collaborate with the Product Owners and Scrum Master in prioritizing the sprint backlog and contributing to the product backlog grooming.
To be successful as a Software Engineer AVP, you should have experience with:
Development tools (Oracle PL/SQL, Tableau, Autosys/airflow, AWS, pySpark)
Various scripting languages (Python, Perl, JavaScript)
Full SDLC lifecycle including waterfall and agile methodologies
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Financial industry experience
Big data experience, such as Hadoop
Ability to deliver highly detailed technical information to key stakeholders
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in this role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.
Minimum Salary: $120,000
Maximum Salary: $175,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
