Senior SAS Developer

What will you be doing?

Barclays Services LLC seeks Senior SAS Developer in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

• Develop data-driven solutions to address business problems and provide data and SAS programming expertise to support Enterprise Marketing Requirements.

• Write complex queries, macros, automate process and stored procedures.

• Involved extensively in Data Extraction, Transformation, Loading into ETL Process.

• Participate in data architecture discussions to implement data management and warehousing strategies that support client planning, analysis, reporting, and operations.

• Serve as Java technical expert across the development lifecycle.

• Maintain and enhance currently running production applications, Phyton codes understanding complex scenarios in existing codebase and make changes if needed.

• Designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining applications on Salesforce with global development teams.

• Work closely with development teams and provide guidance while maintaining business alignment as Technical Product Owner (TPO).

• May telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $150,550 per year
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $165,605 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
