Explore locationJoin Barclays as a Data Management Design and Advisory Lead, where you will play a key role in shaping how data and records are governed across our global organisation. You will help design, embed, and evolve robust data management frameworks that support regulatory compliance, data quality, and trusted decision‑making across the bank.
To be successful as a Data Management Design and Advisory Lead, you should have:
Data Management Design & Operating Model Leadership – Advanced expertise in data management principles, governance frameworks, and industry standards, with experience embedding sustainable capabilities that improve data quality, traceability, and compliance.
Advisory, Consulting & Strategic Skills – Proven ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders, constructively challenge existing practices, and drive alignment across business, technology, and risk teams, often without direct authority.
Stakeholder Management & Governance Facilitation – Experience partnering across business, technology, risk, and change functions to embed data management into delivery and operations through coaching, guidance, and reusable frameworks.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Communication & Influence – Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for senior and technical audiences.
Regulatory & Risk Exposure – Experience supporting regulatory engagement, audits, or risk and control assessments.
Data Tooling Knowledge – Familiarity with data management tools such as metadata repositories, data lineage solutions, and data quality platforms.

This role will be based in our Glasgow Campus.
