What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Full Stack Developer, AVP in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

1.    Work closely with Product Owners to understand the business requirement and prepare high level tasks for design and development.
2.    Work closely with Architects and Infrastructure team for any new project design review and Infrastructure redesign for cloud migration etc.
3.    Design and develop the solution for scalable, high-volume performing cloud based micro service APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) using Java 1.8 / JEE Framework, RESTful Web Services, JMS, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Hibernate, JDBC, Liquibase, Oracle, Mongo ,OOPS, Java Enterprise, Active MQ, Kafka, Domain Driven Design, Event Driven Architectures, API Gateway Patterns, Circuit Breaker patterns, Caching, Security, Encryption SSL, Spring Batch, Spring Integration, Spring WS and drive designs towards asynchronous, functional, reactive systems.
4.    Design and develop front-end web application using Java Script frameworks such as Angular, ReactJS and integrate with cloud based micro service APIs.
5.    Design cloud native Applications to work with OpenShift and AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
6.    Produce high quality code which is unit tested, reviewed with team and strictly adhere the agile test principles of Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming and Business Driven Development (BDD).
7.    Build, package, deployment automation and continuous integration into Open Shift and AWS cloud infrastructure with Jenkins pipelines to enhance overall execution speed and product quality.
8.    Work closely with Product and Platform team to adhere new technologies approved for Cards Platform.
9.    Participate in the sprint planning, review, backlog grooming, join the daily scrum meetings and provide status to scrum master as well as update in rally-dev tool.
10.    Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to refine solutions and promote sharing of ideas.
11.    Debug issues, identify root cause and provide technical solution to problems.
12.    May telecommute.

Salary/rate minimum: $179,982 per year
Salary/rate maximum $197,981 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate.  It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
