Step into your role of US Tax Documentation Analyst where you will be responsible for assisting the US Tax documentation team in maintaining consistent and controlled practices for client tax form documentation across the investment bank.

To be successful as a US Tax Documentation Analyst you should have experience with:

•    US W8/W9 tax documentation validation requirements in accordance to IRS regulations;
•    The ability to facilitate Onboarding and Remediation exercises as required by Regulatory Changes;
•    Basic understanding of Financial Products in the Investment Banking industry;
•    Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders such as Client, Salesperson, Onboarding teams.  Success in working in team environment.

Other highly valued skills include:

•    Experience of IRS Tax Form Validation, Reporting and Withholding. Understand tax technical requirements, industry practices, and industry initiatives;
•    Good problem solving, analytical and technical aptitude.  Dynamic and willing to challenge status quo, recommend improvements and pro-actively enhance current processes;
•    Understanding of risks arising with Operational Tax processes and an ability to articulate these to Management;
•    Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. 

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
