In Barclays the enterprise data platform is playing huge role in laying foundation for the bank’s cloud platform. You will play crucial role, in Enterprise Data Platform, working closely with several key partners in technology and business areas such as Infrastructure teams, customer on-boarding etc. You will also play key role in resolving complex issues working with Networking, Security teams, building integrated solutions in delivering high quality products.
To be successful as a Data Engineer, you should have:
Experience in Technical/operational skills in any cloud platform and understanding of cloud services, security, networking
An understanding of cloud-native technologies, virtualization such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes etc
Knowledge/Experience in any programming language, preferably python/spark/pyspark
Familiarity with any database technologies as MySQL, NoSQL etc
Other highly valued skills include:
Understanding or Infrastructure as Code technologies such as terraform or similar kind
Industry standard IT Certification in any cloud technologies or python programming
Knowledge/Experience in CI/CD process
Knowledge in AI/ML
Ample communications skills and willingness to work in controlled environments

This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.
Purpose of the role
To build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data, such as data pipelines, data warehouses and data lakes to ensure that all data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
