You will engineer agentic and AI-enabled capabilities that connect models, data, APIs, workflows, and user actions into safe, scalable application experiences, while partnering across teams to deliver intelligent automation and meaningful business outcomes.
To be successful as a Senior AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Automation - VP, you should have:
Experience building agentic, AI-enabled application services that combine models, prompts, retrieval, tools, APIs, workflow logic, and human approvals into reliable user-facing capabilities
Knowledge in Engineering AI orchestration patterns using large and small language models, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, semantic search, tool calling, context management, and human-in-the-loop controls
Validated ability to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications using Python or Java, REST APIs, Kafka/event-driven messaging, containerized microservices, Camunda/BPMN workflows, testing, observability, resiliency, and production support
Considerable software engineering discipline to move AI capabilities from prototype to production, including secure design, quality measurement, evaluation, monitoring, logging, error handling, and operational readiness
Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with product, engineering, architecture, data, risk, coordinates, and central AI teams to apply approved AI guardrails and deliver safe, scalable, and measurable AI-enabled outcomes
Other highly valued skills include:
Ability to design application integrations that support low-friction user experiences, reduced manual effort, assisted insight, workflow automation, and safe escalation to human review
Experience with agentic design patterns such as task planning, tool use, retrieval, memory or context handling, approval gates, exception handling, and controlled action execution
Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms, orchestration frameworks, vector stores, semantic layers, model evaluation approaches, prompt testing, and AI-assisted engineering tools
Ability to design application integrations that support low-friction user experiences, reduced manual effort, assisted insights, workflow automation, and safe escalation to human review
Ability to create reusable engineering patterns, reference implementations, test harnesses, monitoring approaches, and implementation playbooks that help teams build controlled AI capabilities consistently
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Whippany, NJ office.
Minimum Salary: $170,000
Maximum Salary: $230,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
