What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Axiom Development Lead in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

  • Liaise with Finance business and project integration office colleagues to assess scope, refine requirements and deliver Axiom solution for external regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Analyze business requirement documents and prepare high-level technical design for external regulatory reporting.

  • Review Axiom technical design to ensure they meet requirements of finance business stakeholders.

  • Analyze, design, develop, and test regulatory reporting applications to deliver mandatory changes set by regulators to support the Risk, Finance and Treasury users within Barclays.

  • Lead development of Axiom technology delivery for Single Resolution Board - EU (SRB) resolution reporting, Central Bank of Ireland’s (CBI) Deposits Guarantee Scheme reporting, and

  • Liquidity reporting defined by European Banking Authority.

  • Lead development of Axiom technology delivery for Prudential Regulation Authority’s (PRA) Ring-Fenced Banking (RFB) reporting, PRA101 – PRA109 reporting, and Bank of England

  • (BoE) MREL reporting.

  • Develop and write PL/SQL, Autosys and Unix scripts to deliver functionality to the business as defined in technical specification document.

  • Develop, review and performance tune Axiom objects (DataSource, DataModel, Aggregation, Portfolio, Freeform, etc.) ensuring code meets company and department standards,

  • coordinate implementation of packaging codes.

  • Performance tune, design and develop PL/SQL code to support end-to-end Regulatory report execution and generation.

  • Performed code migration activities from Development to System Integration test and User Acceptance test environment, and prepared test dataset for various test cycles.

  • Review system integration testing and support User Acceptance test cycles (including defect tracking and delivery of remediation plans).

  • Prepare and execute detailed unit test cases and provide Business as Usual and post-implementation support.

  • Manage a team of five (5) Axiom developers.

  • Confer with stakeholders in Agile scrum calls, sprint planning, and sprint retrospection meetings with Finance and Change Management to ensure business requests prioritized.

  • May telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $179,982 per year

Salary / Rate Maximum/yr:  $197,980 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above includes only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any another type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
