Explore locationBarclays is looking for a Level 2 Application Support with a banking support background. As a Level 2 Application Support, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of critical Risk applications. You will oversee service quality for key stakeholders and take end-to-end responsibility of service operations, including incident resolution, continuous
improvement, and monitoring.
To be successful as a Level 2 Application Support, you should have experience with:
Software programs in any of the technologies like Java, C#, SQL, Python
Structured and/or unstructured databases like Oracle, MSSQL
Scripting technologies like Shell, Perl, Java Script, PHP
Certified or excellent knowledge of ITIL practices
Various stages of Agile Change life cycle
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Big data platforms like Hadoop, ETL tools like Informatica and cloud technologies
Knowledge of IB Business – clear understanding of trade lifecycle and Market data
Risk assessment function will be preferred
Preferred to have certified in any of these technologies like AWS or Hadoop or DevOps
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.
Minimum Salary: $115,000
Maximum Salary: $160,000
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
Purpose of the role
To effectively monitor and maintain the bank’s critical technology infrastructure and resolve more complex technical issues, whilst minimising disruption to operations.
